We are thrilled to share that Green Thumb artists were recognized with six awards this year, sweeping the Theatre for Young Audiences category, as well as netting an additional special award.

THE CODE was recognized with awards for Outstanding Production and Significant Artistic Achievement for Exceptional Presentation of Contemporary, Far Reaching Teen Issues. Playwright Rachel Aberle was also awarded the Sydney J. Risk Prize for Outstanding Original Play by an Emerging Playwright.

For JABBER, our co-production with Neworld Theatre, Chelsea Haberlin was awarded Outstanding Artistic Creation for her direction, designers Joel Grinke (projections), Mishelle Cuttler (sound), and Shizuka Kai (set), were awarded Outstanding Design as a team, and actor Parmiss Sehat was awarded Outstanding Performance for her portrayal of lead role Fatima.

We are honoured to see our work, and the work of our artists recognized by the Vancouver theatre community at large. Congratulations to all of this year's Jessie recipients, and thank you to our colleagues all over Vancouver for another fantastic season of local theatre.
