Hiring: Technical Apprentices - Contract Positions

Technical Apprentice Positions - 1 Week Contract positions

Green Thumb Theatre is hiring three (3) technical apprentices to learn from professional designers and technicians for an in-person live-stream test run of Still/Falling, written by Rachel Aberle and directed by Patrick McDonald.

Lighting Apprentice: Shadow lighting designer/programmer, John Webber, during load-in, technical rehearsal and test run. The focus will be on practical skills surrounding lighting hang, focus, lighting board programming and operation.

Contract Dates: November 23rd - December 3rd, 2020.

$1,150.00 flat fee.

Sound Apprentice: Shadow audio engineer, Kate De Lorme, during technical rehearsals and test run. Build skills in live mixing of streamed audio.

Contract Dates: November 26th – December 3rd, 2020.

$800.00 flat fee.

Video Apprentice: Shadow videographer, Cameron Anderson, for the technical rehearsals and test run. Build skills in setting up a multi-camera set up and running cameras for a live stream.

Contract dates: November 26th – December 3rd, 2020.

$800.00 flat fee.

1) A cover letter in PDF format discussing:

- Previous experiences in relation to the position you are applying for.

- What excites you about theatre.

- How you believe live stream fits into the theatre sector moving forward.
