A Back-To-School Message
Each year, back-to-school is accompanied by nerves and excitement for the year ahead. But it's no secret that this year, there is a new level of uncertainty as the education community works to find the safest and most effective ways to support themselves and each other.
While there are many unknowns about how this year will unfold, what we do know is that there are thousands of educators, assistants, counsellors, administrators, support staff, and parents working tirelessly to advocate for safety and for the needs of young people. Young people are being asked to deviate from the familiar and are doing so with courage and resilience.
We want to acknowledge your strength in the face of uncertainty and thank you for your dedication. No matter what school may look like this year, we hope that everyone will take time to prioritize their mental health alongside their physical health.
We are thinking of you and wishing you a safe and happy return to school this week!
