Green Thumb Theatre is seeking an experienced arts-based facilitator with a background in theatre performance to create and lead single-day workshops for Elementary students that accompany our touring production of THE MIXOLYDIAN by Ashley Cook. THE MIXOLYDIAN follows 11-year-oldBellevue as she connects with her Anishinaabe and Metis culture on a journey through the woods and learns there is more to her “imaginary friend” Thomas than meets the eye.

Reporting to and collaborating with the Artistic Director, the facilitator will create single-day workshops that encourage elementary school-age students to work collectively to create their own theatre pieces. The workshops will employ theatre exercises to explore and create original content with the youth participants.
